Raith Rovers Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Monday, 31st Aug 2009Highlights from interviews given by John McGlynn and Jim McIntyre after the league game against Raith Rovers at East End Park.
John McGlynn
John admits that his side were under a lot of pressure throughout the match but that it allowed them to hit on the break with some success and it is the result that is the main thing for them. Sitting top of the league is enjoyable but it is obviously a long way to go and staying there will be very difficult. He does not commit to whether the sending off may have changed the game as you will never know how it may have panned out if it hadn`t happened. Praise is given to the away support who turned out in their numbers to witness the victory against their derby rivals.
Jim McIntyre
Jim is dismayed about the sending off as it was given for `violent conduct` although having seen the footage there appears to have been none. Although going down to ten men was a tough one to take for the players the manager is pleased with the way they wouldn`t give up and were unlucky not to have got something out of the game for their efforts.
