Partick Thistle Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 15th Nov 2009Highlights from interviews given by Ian McCall and Stephen McDougall after the game against Partick Thistle at East End Park.
Ian McCall
Ian is very proud of his team despite the defeat. His players pushed and pressed for an equaliser that was never to come. He put the result down to four or five errors which cost his team the goals that eventually sunk them. Like many McCall is of the opinion that any team in the top seven are capable of winning the league and results around the country seem to back that up. Having had influence of Willie Gibson in his early career McCall realises he is a handful to play against and acknowledges the wingers performance.
Stephen McDougall
Stephen is delighted to get a goal on his first start in a long time, with Andy Kirk away on international duty, it gave the former winger a chance to shine, which he did by scoring within four minutes. He admits that he hasnt perhaps done enough to force his way into the first team but is happy to take the opportunity when it comes along. Having now been seven games unbeaten the only way is up according to McDougal who is looking for the team to get back in amongst the pack at the top.
