Raith Rovers Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Tuesday, 16th Mar 2010Highlights from interviews given by Jim McIntyre, Steven McDougall and John McGlynn after the game against Raith Rovers at East End Park.
Jim McIntyre
Jim labels the victory as a fabulous three points showing great character to win after going down to ten men so early in the match. Not only did the team hang on but they managed to score a great goal to stretch the lead to two. On Steven Bell`s red card the manager has no complaints and believes that by the laws of the game the decision was correct. Having put a run of good results together, Jim is not going to get carried away about a title challenge and will take each game as it comes. On a side note, Callum Woods red card appeal from Saturday will be heard on Friday.
Steven McDougall
Stevens second goal in as many games was awarded to Steven Bell by the tannoy announcer but he is just glad to have picked up the three points. The player came to the club as a midfielder but is starting to have success in a more forward position in the team. On the title challenge Steven isn`t so sure its possible but is happy to have points on the board rather than games in hand as many other clubs do.
John McGlynn
John is not happy at the result as he feels his players had plenty of chances to get something out of the game. He is dissapointed at having lost the second goal early in the second half, although he does give credit to the Dunfermline players that made it happen. The clubs exploits on Saturday may have had an effect on the players physical and mental capacities, and the manager felt this showed in the first half.
