Dundee Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Tuesday, 30th Mar 2010Highlights from interviews given by Jim McIntyre, Gordon Chisholm and Neil McGregor after the game against Dundee at East End Park.
Jim McIntyre
Jim first of all explains how devestated he is for young goalkeeper Greg Patterson after he sustained an horrendous leg break in the first half. He also goes on to say that there are no ill feelings towards the opposition player who caused the injury as, in his eyes, it was a fifty-fifty challenge. Although the incident put a dampner on the night, Jim is delighted with the win which helps them remain in the race with each game from now on being a must win. Willie Gibson recieves special praise for a fine performance which he managed to cap with a goal.
Gordon Chisholm
Gordon realises that every game on the run in is a cup final for his side, having let the lead at the top of the table slip. In the first half, Gordon admits that his side were second best in everything and didnt compete enough to warrant anything out of the game. On Patterson`s injury, the Dundee gaffer could see it was a bad one and that forced him to subsitute the player involved.
Neil McGregor
Neil was happy to get back into the starting line up and even happier with the win. On a night in which defensive slip ups were on the cards, the defender is pleased at how solid the back line was throughout the match. McGregor agrees that the injury to Patterson puts a downer on the game but believes that with all teams capable of picking up and dropping points, the result keeps them in the hunt.
