Chairmans Comments
Date: Wednesday, 30th Aug 2000The club have reminded all season ticket holders that they must bring their books to the Motherwell game to qualify for the reduced prices.
Dunfermline Athletic Chairman John Yorkston said today:
"I am saddened if some people think that they are not being dealt with fairly. I am confident that the majority of our fans will support us in our pricing policy. I know some other clubs give no Cup games in their season ticket packages. In addition when the Arsenal game was announced we decided to throw that in as a free bonus to our season ticket holders. I think that most of our supporters realise that we are trying very hard to make Dunfermline one of the top clubs in Scotland. We have improved the stadium beyond all recognition, and we have brought in a top coaching team and players who can keep us in the Premier League, but none of that comes without a cost. We have started the season well, we are fourth in the League and still in the Cup. The vast majority understand this and will, I am sure, continue to support our efforts to stay at the top."
