NEC MAKE CUP FINAL

Jimmy Calderwood's former club NEC Nijmegan have reached the Dutch Cup Final, in which they have to play Roda JC Kerkrade. NEC beat AZ Alkmaar in the semi-final after penalties. It's the fourth time in their history that they have reached the Cup Final

Jimmy Calderwood's former club NEC Nijmegan have reached the Dutch Cup Final, in which they have to play Roda JC Kerkrade. NEC beat AZ Alkmaar in the semi-final after penalties. It's the fourth time in their history that they have reached the Cupfinal, but they have never won it, 2000 could be the year to do this ! The final will be played on May 21 in the Feyenoord stadium in Rotterdam.

In the KPN-Telecompetition, the Dutch Premier League, NEC are almost save now. Currently in 15th place in the league table, on Sunday 30th April they have a crucial game coming up against MVV Maastricht who are 16th on the table. A draw is enough for them to avoid relegation which is maybe just as well since their last two league matches are against Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven.
