No Scotland, No Party!.

The UEFA European Championships is just 24 hours away, with hosts Germany set to get a month of fantastic football drama off and underway. Julian Nagelsmann;s men kick-off the tournament against Scotland, with the Tartan Army descending upon Deutschland en masse.

Steve Clarke`s side, on the back of failing to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, had a stunning start to their Euro Qualifying campaign – including that famous Hampden victory over Spain thanks to a Scott McTominay double. Following qualification to this summer`s main event, the form of the national side has dropped, with fans desperate to see the nation roar once again, starting on Friday evening.

As per the now infamous quote, “No Scotland, No Party!” - and while there is a party throughout Germany from hundreds upon thousands of Scots, Clarke wants his players to solely focus on the game in hand and not the occasion and all the distractions which surround the opening match of the tournament.

Facing such a strong country can be difficult at the best of times, but to do so in the opening match of Group A piles some pressure onto Scotland: a heavy defeat could ruin morale on and off the pitch, despite still having 2 fixtures to play to try and secure qualification.

Switzerland and Hungary make up the rest of the Group and all 3 nations will be eyeing up the knockout rounds; at least one country will have to pack their bags early and depart. If Scotland do secure their place in the next round, it will be an historic moment for Clarke and his squad, who will be the first Scotland Men`s National Team to qualify from the Group Stages of a major tournament.

Clarke hasn`t had it easy when deciding his 26-man squad, with his first choice and second choice Right-Backs, Aaron Hickey and Nathan Patterson – missing the tournament through injury, before Lyndon Dykes had to pull out of the Provisional Squad due to a training ground injury picked up just days into the pre-tournament Training Camp.

But, Clarke and his staff remain positive about what can happen this summer in Germany. The Euros is nearly here and now we know who our heroes will be, as for the second time in three years, Scotland are at the Euros !!!
