Scotland learns what teams they will compete against during the World Cup qualifiers

While EURO has just finished less than half a year ago, national teams are focusing on the grand event, AKA the World Cup.

If you are a fan of Novibet sports betting , you already know that people are very interested in all the details.

Thankfully, Scotland already has a good idea of how their qualifier will shape like, since they learned who they will be facing, along with a few other details.

What teams will Scotland go against ?

For a little while, it was hard to predict who Scotland will go against, but now we have a very good idea of the teams that Scotland is going to tackle, and the list is quite interesting. It seems that Denmark, Portugal, Greece or Belarus. That’s quite an interesting thing because Scotland is indeed trying to have a very good representation at the World Cup.

And the reality is they might even have the opportunity to have a very good outing during these qualifiers. The loser of the Denmark and Portugal A quarter final will be in the Scotland section and they will be the ones that will play against Scotland in September 5. There’s definitely a lot on the line for Scotland, mainly because the last time they were in a World Cup final was in 1998.

So there are over 25 years in which Scotland has been craving to get back, and they might have the opportunity to finally do that.

What is the focus for Scotland’s team ?

At this point, they really want to make sure that they will get as close as possible to a final win, which is the most important thing. And at the end of the day, that could become a possibility. But things have changed, and Scotland’s team hasn’t been able to break the code to reach such heights for a long time.
However, Scotland is trying to train as much as they can in order to continue with very good results.

What’s important here is that Scotland is going to face Greece in the Nation’s League playoffs and they are trying to remain in League A. That will definitely be a great boost for them as they prepare for the end of the qualifiers and eventually entering the World Cup as one of the participating teams.

Recently, Scotland was beaten by Portugal in the latest Nations League group in their home turn, and the Hampden match finished 0-0. Denmark also bested Scotland at home but they lost when they played in Scotland. So the track record is not the best for Scotland, but they are doing their best to try and improve, while also getting as high as possible in the World Cup, when they will eventually get there.

When can we expect the next matches?

It seems the next matches will take place on Friday September 5 between Portugal and Denmark winner, and then after that we have the 8th of September match against Belarus, 9th of October against Greece, and then the remaining matches will be a home match against Belarus on October 12, away match in Greece on November 15th and Tuesday the 18th of November there will be a match against the winner between Portugal and Denmark, a match that will take place in Scotland.

Expectations are wild at this time, with many people thinking that Scotland has indeed very high chances. Their previous track record shows that Scotland has indeed improved when compared to recent years. But there are still plenty of things to do and they do expect it to be quite the challenge as they focus on enhancing their World Cup preparation.

Is it going to be difficult for Scotland to get past this qualifier? As any other qualifier, it certainly has its fair share of challenges. Teams like Portugal are definitely going to be difficult to defeat, but Scotland’s team also came a long way when compared to previous tournaments. So only time can tell, but there’s no denying that everyone is excited to be a part of these matches and see the result!
