Barry glad to be at home

Midfielder Barry Nicholson has expressed his delight at seeing the Pars handed a home time in the next round of the CIS Cup against First Division leaders, Falkirk.

He said: "I`m delighted we`re at home - it`s a local derby so they`ll be well up for it and they`re flying in Division One as well. It will be very difficult for us but, hopefully, with the home fans behind us we can go through to the next round."

Following the Pars` struggle to overcome Cowdenbeath in the last round, Nicholson confessed that they will take nothing for granted against Ian McCall`s men. He added: "We didn`t underestimate Cowdenbeath at all but we didn`t imagine they would score in the first 10 minutes so that put us off our game plan a bit.

"They made it very difficult for us and I`m sure it will be the same when we play Falkirk."

Meanwhile, Falkirk boss Ian McCall is looking forward to bringing his side to East End Park for the CIS Cup third round tie.

Former Pars midfielder McCall said: "When I was playing the teams were great rivals and it hasn`t changed now.

"We are absolutely delighted with the draw. Apart from Rangers and Celtic, I believe that Dunfermline are one of the best teams in the SPL."
