Youssef Rossi given worldwide ban!
Author: Jason Barber Date: Wednesday, 8th Jan 2003Rossi, who has been AWOL since last season, will not be allowed to kick a ball for another club until his DAFC deal runs out in 18 months time.
Therefore, until the summer of 2004, Rossi has been prevented from playing for any other club than Dunfermline Athletic, though it is highly doubtful if the club would have anything to do with him now if he did return.
A series of walkouts and second chances has seen Rossi go back to his Moroccan homeland to train with former club Raja Casablanca. He and his brother agent had perhaps hoped for an ideal scenario, with a heroes welcome back to the club, however, this FIFA ban will not allow any transfer to take place until next year.
It is yet another chapter in an amazing story between the club and the wayward player. A superb talent, without a doubt, but his mental commitment and attitude has seen the story take yet another twist, with the player the ultimate loser. Dunfermline continue to not be out of pocket with every week the player does not return.
A few rare examples of Rossi in a Pars shirt....
