Pars Top 10 Lottery Shines Brightly
Author: DAFC Date: Friday, 14th Mar 2003Sammy the Tammy presents £750 cheques to Hillview Day Hospital and the Cobweb Foundation
Prior to Dunfermline Athletic’s match versus Partick Thistle at East End Park last Sunday, Sammy the Tammy was proud to present £750 cheques to both Mike Kelly from the Hillview Day Hospital and Alistair Mowbray from the Cobweb Foundation (both pictured with Sammy).
Mike Kelly, Senior Charge Nurse with Hillview Day Hospital, said - "I am delighted to receive this donation from Sammy`s Lottery at Dunfermline Football Club. We plan to spend the money on refurbishing the pool table which is very worn and also buy some plants and pictures for the day room".
Sammy’s Sunshine Fund cumulates from the smaller Pars Top 10 National Lottery wins – £10, £20, etc – that cannot reasonably be shared out amongst all Top 10 members. Local charities are nominated every six months to receive a donation.
If you know of a local charity that you think deserves to benefit from the Fund, please write to Sammy at:
