Some people in the 4,351 crowd may well have thought that had this game taken place in their back garden, they`d have been better off shutting the curtains. However, for as poor a match as it was, Dunfermline finally got back to winning ways picking up only their second win of the league season, eight matches into the campaign.

What a difference a day (or three) makes as a rejuvenated Pars side lose this CIS cup tie 4-1 to Hearts after extra time after some outstanding displays from the youngsters. The score-line does not tell the true story of this match and flattered the home side.

A thoroughly inept and spineless performance by the Pars at Clyde saw the home side win comfortably 2-1. This has to go down as one of the worst Pars displays this season and perhaps for several seasons. The lack of effort from players clearly past their SPL sell by date was appalling.

A valuable point won by the Pars away at Dundee but in reality this was probably two points dropped against a Dundee side that was supposedly setting the heather on fire with their foreign giants. What a joke!
